I will listen to you, hear you, and empathize with what you are going through. I will treat you with the same care I would want my family to have. I will be WITH you in the journey you are on and do my best to alleviate the severity of the symptoms you are experiencing. I want to empower you in a safe environment and make you feel like you do not have to face the situation alone.
To provide exceptional, compassionate care to individuals, their families, and the community through prevention, intervention, treatment, and education that lead to the best clinical outcomes.
To provide the community with psychiatric services that exceed quality standards for the families we serve. My guided vision will always reflect doing the best I can!
Growing up in a rural area, challenged with poverty, and ending up in foster care for a large part of my life gave me the strength to be where I am today. I endured the challenges of single parenting and climbed the ladder from CNA to LVN, to RN, to PMHNP-BC. I am a perinatal specialist and have been in the mental health industry for 23 years. I have helped our community through the devastating fires.
My childhood experience gave me the desire, drive, and dedication to help treat teens and adults with various mental illnesses. Along my journey, I have developed a new passion that led me to additional training in perinatal care, allowing me the ability to provide mental health support for pregnant and postpartum women and their families.
As a Psychiatric nurse practitioner-board certified and specializing in perinatal care, I treat various mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, bipolar, ADHD, and more. I treat others with compassion and empathy, always without being judgmental.
cALL mEI began Lakeview Horizon to be an additional provider in our rural community, offering both in-person and telemedicine services. I want to spend as much time with my patients without feeling pressured to hurry them out the door for the sake of money! The name is significant as you can have the most spectacular Lakeview from many locations around us.
Eric Howard is an LVN and Tanya’s husband. Eric has a Bachelors degree in Agricultural business. He graduated from Chico state for his business degree and then moved on to the world of nursing. Tanya and Eric are a great team and will do our best to help you in a timely manor.
I prescribe medication for Mental Health for ages 16 and up. This includes pregnant women, as I have specialized in perinatal care to treat pregnant and postpartum women for mental health. My primary modality is Cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness. I have worked with a lot of trauma, as our rural community had the Paradise fire and Bear fire one year after the other. I do not prescribe Suboxone.
